I left the room for a minute . . .

. . . and when I came back Saffie was eating the dirt from one of our houseplants.

Aaaahhh toddlerhood. I think we have officially arrived!

Any great tips on how to have houseplants and toddlers peacefully coexist?

  1. Michelle says:

Get a paper plate… cut a hole in it for the trunk. And a slit so you can slide it onto your plant. Then put it over the dirt. It should cover most of your dirt & deter curious hands. Then stand guard and keep removing them over & over & over & over. Eventually your sanity will go & they will finally get it.

  2. I ate a ton of dirt, crayons, playdough, and the like when I was a kid. So you shouldn’t worry, I turned out just…wait, maybe you should worry. Really worry.
