I remember fondly a blog post Scott wrote about Niko that was essentially a Niko to English dictionary. Saffie is talking more and more to us which is amazing. Unfortunately she has decided to make up some words of her own in the process. It sometimes takes us days to figure out what she is talking about. If you speak with her in the near future here is a guide to help you out.
Dee = blankie (possibly the most important word in her life)
Baak = milk (not sure why)
Baa = banana
Wash = water (formerly wa-wa) and I need to wash my hands (of course)
Paypoo = playdough
Sti-ah = sticker (this isn’t really a made up word, I just think it’s cute)
Ca-poo = pasta (this one is new and really odd to me)
Choc = chocolate (yummy yummy)
Q = both Q and Romy (which really pisses Romy off and confuses everyone when we take Romy to the vet)
She still refuses to call me anything but Sassy which is what she calls herself. What’s a woman got to do to get her own child to call her mommy!!!!
I love your Saffie dictionary. I wish I would have had a guide for my twins. They had their own language for a long time, and I felt totally left out. I’m sure Saffie will get the Mommy word down soon. She is such a sweetie!
